About the Image(s)
Happy Holidays to everyone
Taken on a recent trip to France. Covered passages were used to protect the rich as they shopped. I was just taking tourist photos but I really liked this one.
The Passage des Panoramas is the oldest covered passageway in Paris, built in 1800, and is renowned for its historical significance and charming atmosphere.
Did auto in Lightroom, Bumped up clarity and saturation and added a vignette. No cropping.

Vella, well done! A very nice image. To me the colors that you have brought in post work, both the saturation and the complementary shades, work well to improve the image. From my experience the "leading line" of the purple and yellow balloons leading in from the lower right corner help to fix my eye on the main subject. If you have a shot from an angle where the bottom lines were straight across (horizontal) this would be perfect. Nice work!   Posted: 12/04/2025 17:04:35
Vella, interesting vantage point and non conventional angle, which makes it more attractive. It is sharp. Yes, the balloons work as leading lines towards the circular structure in the roof, and open to the vast sky with clouds.

Well, I have been to Paris many times but I have never come across this! Well done Vella, for finding this and then for finding a creative view for a photograph. I like the composition as it is. You PP work has improved the colours and given us details in the sky above the dome.   Posted: 12/16/2025 16:38:22
Hi Vella, I agree with the others that you conquared an unusual subject then strengthened it in PP. I took the liberty straitening the bottom horizontal line. I removed the bottom balloon in post then dropped the bottom right corner. Its not perfect just my take.   Posted: 12/16/2025 22:15:05
