About the Image(s)
Taken in a French Vineyard. It was converted to black and white. Cropped slightly. Opened the shadows - all in Lightroom. Then I used a DXO Film pack vintage preset.

Hi Vella, the change to Mono created more texture, tension and Impact. The floor provided a strong leading line, good eye.   Posted: 11/07/2025 16:40:03
Vella, you did an excellent job in post bringing out the detail at the end of thus room. For my eye this makes a huge difference as it fixes my view after you have led me down the rows of barrels. Very very well done!   Posted: 11/07/2025 19:24:34
Hi Vella
The colour image to me looked flat and muddy the mono conversion has so given it life, atmosphere and interest, fabulous textures throughout, lovely lighting and tonal range, well done Vella for seeing the potential in this image and making it happen.   Posted: 11/14/2025 12:27:17

Good choice to go mono on this one Vella, because boosting contrast on the colour image would not have had the same drama. The symmetrical composition leads the eye right up to the details at the end of the passage. Well done for making a picture out of this.   Posted: 11/16/2025 17:09:22
Vella, interesting B&W interpretation which really give character to the image. I agree with Ian about the looks of the original. The central corridor takes us to the end of the room and being able to appreciate the wood barrels. Image is sharp.   Posted: 11/20/2025 19:10:47
