About the Image(s)

Last month our camera club went on a shoot to a historical site near Flint, Michigan. Unfortunately, due to the excessive heat we were denied access . We went a couple miles down the road to a nature preserve where we found this little frog.

The night before the shoot I was looking at my OM1 MKII and its image stacking features and inadvertently did not reset my camera. The resulting image was a seven image, hand held, focus stacked image with my OM1 MKII and a Zuiko 40-150 mm lens.

The seven images were first processed in DxO Pure Raw 5 and then stacked using Helicon Focus for the final image. This image was then processed in Photoshop Camera Raw Filter for final tweaking, and then sharpened with Topaz Sharpen AI. The final step was a slight vignette to slightly darken the edges.

Bill, it is obvious that forgetting to reset some settings pays off. Here you have a very sharp Kermit all the way, with a blurred non distracting background. Well done   Posted: 08/01/2025 20:24:50
