About the Image(s)
I tried something new this month. Light painting. I have been nurturing this onion for several weeks now with the idea of trying light painting.
I set up my Olympus OM1 MKII for shooting an in camera composite using Live Composite.I consulted my new internet friend, Grok3. The details are too lengthy to put here but I can tell you that their recommendations were spot on. While this is my first attempt I will be trying other subjects.

Another interesting image Bill. You seem to always be on the cutting edge. Perhaps as you continue with this line, you could do a webinar for all of PSA on what you are learning and how it might be used. The suggestions must've been first grade as you have said, the lighting looks professional. Thanks for sharing.   Posted: 04/06/2025 18:58:10

Bill, you elected a very artistic set-up. I am assuming that the background is a black cloth given by the wrinkles and the shadows created by the illumination. The image is sharp. My curiosity wants to know what did you ask to Grok3?   Posted: 04/07/2025 16:26:06
I love the shape of the onion with the curve of the greenery seeking to grow upwards. Somehow it knows to grow against gravity to find the light which is normally above. The light painting has worked very well with the highlight on the bulb and the gently textured background.   Posted: 04/08/2025 11:56:03
Hi Bill
this is one of the most impressive still life images I have seen in many a long year, your light painting is perfection it has highlighted the onion perfectly and brought out the colours and textures to their full quality, the back drop colour and texture sits so well with the main subject.
For me its a tour de force.   Posted: 04/15/2025 19:32:07

The background, color contrasts and lighting art perfect in my estimation, and the stroke contained the image. My judging vote is a 9.   Posted: 04/17/2025 20:24:32
