About the Image(s)
How I did it-Several years ago I was traveling with some PSA friends. We were walking down a street in Madrid when I noticed a young man and his dog, trying their best to earn food money. This scene was very emotional for me, as I experienced too much poverty, starvation and homelessness in our travels throughout most of Europe in 1945-46. Mother and I were the first dependents allowed in Berlin and arrived September 2nd, 1945. Tools for the day, Canon 7D coupled with Canon 24 to 135 mm lens, shot off hand. My settings were 200 ISO, f8 @ 250th of a second. In P.P. a crop, sharpening and a touch of saturation.

Eric, here we are entering into the field of PJ of human interest. I am not sure if he is blind, or just expecting a tip for his musical performance, and the dog adds content to the image. It is impossible to avoid amputating people in the background from that vantage point. Image is sharp.   Posted: 04/03/2025 00:28:07
