Another from last September the Latin X evening at the Unity Theatre Liverpool.
The founder and lead dancer of Colibri Mexidance Magaly Flores gave 2 solo performances her first performance I posted in October this after a costume change was her second performance the lighting was tricky but I feel also enhanced the performance and the costume.
I have 2 more events to cover as part of the media team a Latin American culture day at the World Museum February 15th ( The World Museum are using one of my pictures in all their publicity for the event) and a week later I am covering Grupo Lumas anniversary concert at the Philharmonic hall Liverpool so hopefully get some more images to post.
How I did it
Canon EOS 5D Mk III lens Canon EF24-105mm f/4L IS USM focal length 60mm, f4 1/250s ISO 5000 .
Basic adjustments to RAW file made in CS6,cropped slightly all round sharpened using a high pass filter.

Ian, another great image of Magaly. Interesting the strong blu back light and reflecting on her dress creates a sense of transparency. You were able to freeze her movement. Posted: 02/07/2025 18:01:33

Ian, you pushed the shudder button at the peak of her skirt stretch that coincided with a strong body turn. Love the color and your good Technicals that made this image a winner. Keep up the good work and good luck with the shoots that were described. Posted: 02/07/2025 21:35:58

Ian, a splendid image of this dancer caught at the peak of the action, and very sharp too. You caught her in mid swirl with the clothing swinging out brilliantly. I wondered if the blue background was just a bit too dark. I took it into ON1 RAW and just hit the Briliance button which usually does a nice job bringing out the details and lifting shadows. What do you think?

Just an awesome picture! Your talent really shows through. There is nothing I could add to improve upon what you have done. A combination of good skills in capture and post work.
