About the Image(s)
“Mirror Image ??“Almost” was created a few years ago in Homestead Military Airfield during an air show. I think this was my first experience photographing an air show, and I did not know what to expect. I was shooting everything, and most of the time using bursts.
Used my first professional camera, Nikon D3S with the Nikkor zoom lens 200-400 mm f/4 @ 210 mm and these settings: ISO 400, f/8 and 1/1000 sec (lucky me that the image is sharp). The image was PP in LightRoom and cropped.

Great shot Isaac. I've looked it over carefully and other than the jet trails, is there something else that's not identical? They look exactly the same to me. I'll have to give this a try sometime. Thanks for sharing. Happy new year!   Posted: 01/02/2025 19:08:29

The planes bright color scheme permitted Impact for the viewers and the afterburner smoke depicted the subjects movement. The tail section appears lifted a bit on the inverted fighter.   Posted: 01/11/2025 04:42:08

Hi Isaac
I so love visiting airshows and the aerobatic teams always present great photo opportunities and you really made the most of your visit, this is a classic move carried out by the Thunderbirds and takes so much skill, hope you have more from this display to share.
As a note of reference the aircraft are F-16C Fighting Falcons.   Posted: 01/11/2025 14:51:08

Isaac, this is a superb shot of some VERY precision flying. Just remember that neither pilot can see the other plane. Excellent shot with pure blue sky so nothing to distract the viewer. Like Ian, I would like to see more from this airshow.   Posted: 01/12/2025 14:07:11
