The Laundry Man
Happy New Year. I wish the best to everyone.,
Taken in Mumbi, India . It was a large outdoor area with a lot of small enclosures just for washing laundry. Cropped, adjusted exposure, added some saturation and texture in Lightroom. I then selected the man and lightened his skin and added a vignette.

Vella, this is a very interesting picture and contains a very interesting story in my opinion. To me the story is all about doing the laundry. As such, I would leave everything associated with laundry in the image. That includes the entire bucket in the foreground. I might have done more with this if it were not on my iPad, but in the VF, I have left that bucket totally in the image. And happy new year! Posted: 01/02/2025 19:13:26
Vella, I tend to agree with Gary. I find very interesting the fact of the two posters on the wall in the back. Both of the same person. just wonder if it is the man with the white rope around his waist in younger age. Precursors of the coin laundry ?? Posted: 01/03/2025 18:55:45

Great image of this man doing the laundry, and nicely presented. Whilst I agree with Gary that it is all about laundry and should include all of the second bucket, the problem is that a crop to do that then includes the distracting white plastic bottle in the bottom right corner. That should be darkened or perhaps cloned out for that crop to work. Posted: 01/12/2025 17:13:47

You have not only captures a fascinating image of everyday life in India but have captured the enviroment of the laundry,there is so much to see and take in whichever way you decide to crop or not its a brilliant piece of PJ / photo travel.
