About the Image(s)

Pops is a restaurant situated along Route 66 near a vallage called Arcadia. This year is the centenary for the road built from Chicago to LA and Arcadia is about half way. They sell a large selection of bottled drinks and fast food meals. The front and back windows display a selection of the drinks; the front being on a slant. After minimal cropping I used tonal adjustments.
My settings were f/18, 1/8th sec, ISO 125 and focal length 24.

Fun picture! It was really good of them to arrange the bottles and chairs for a colorful image. Of course, it took a photographer with a good eye to get the right perspective that included so many angles and leading lines. Well done.   Posted: 08/03/2026 18:36:06

What a cool image, Piers, and you captured it splendidly! I love all the colors of the bottles all lined up and the slanted shelves. I wonder who keeps those bottles and shelves clean? What a fun shot!   Posted: 08/03/2026 20:39:54

Hi Piers, For this image, you're a man after my own heart. I certainly would have taken a similar image if I had come across this scene. I love the colors, the shapes, the textures, the lines. Well exposed and processed. I love it   Posted: 08/17/2026 21:05:45
