About the Image(s)

About 6 years ago I saw an owl fly over me and settle at the other side of a creek in Martin Nature Park (Oklahoma City) and was able to get close enough to get a shot but after it had settled on a branch. It was 5:30 pm and quite sunny in May. I used a Canon 80D (1.6 crop): f/8, 1/500, ISO 800, focal length 262 mm (70-300 mm lens). Although cropped in I was pleased to have retained some catch light in the eyes. Edits were cropping and tonal adjustments. For the black and white conversion, I used a strong photoshop adjustment preset and worked on the background to take out some conflicting branches using clone stamp and generative fill.
