About the Image(s)
The restaurant called WW Distillery has an adjacent bar and restaurant with a large window looking onto the distillery which contributes in part to the beverages for the bar consisting of whisky and bourbon. There is only dim lighting from the bar through a large window to the distillery. I had permission to enter through the back entrance with my R6 Mk2, RF 24-105 f/4 lens and tripod. The settings were 16 secs, F/8, ISO 400, at 24mm. I set up near the bar window made of a single glass plate at maximum distance from the scene since there was limited space.
The original was first denoised. I applied tonal adjustments and geometric correction. The result lacked a satisfying composition since I had wanted to include a relaxed feeling of having the dog and logo but without the central crate, but including the main distilling chamber; and cropped accordingly. To improve esthetics I used generative fill and clone stamp to remove lateral white pipes from the crop, as well as a central crate, toilet sign and fire-hydrant to make the black box look more like office space. I converted to black and white with a PS preset and selectively increased blacks and whites and de-shadowed on the roof to the right and on white spots on the dog logo and vat. The central window was treated by decreasing highlights and increasing whites slightly.
