Nice one! Here in Canada I've only seen Aurora in pink, purple and green. Impressive that you didn't get star trails at 15 seconds. It's a challenge to find a suitable foreground and you sure did in my opinion.   Posted: 11/06/2024 18:19:21

A truly beautiful sky shot with unique colors. You have worked to bring out the sky colors very well and the symmetry is striking. Since the sky is the subject of interest I wonder if the foreground detracts attention? Is the sharpening and the foreground bright spots slightly too much?   Posted: 11/07/2024 00:55:09

Lucky You, Shirley.
One of the interesting things about night photography - especially stars or Auroras - is that the foreground is as important as the sky itself. You found a wonderful location to capture the Aurora that night. Your 15 second exposure (Wide open) kept the stars from trailing and the focus on the great coloration of the magical event. Well done.   Posted: 11/10/2024 15:43:25

Shirley, your photograph captures both the natural wonder of the aurora and the rugged terrestrial landscape below, creating a striking composition between the ethereal lights in the sky and the solid earth below. The stars are also visible in the darker portions of the sky, adding another layer of natural beauty to the scene. I love the vibrant colours!
