Taken at the Pear Blossom festival in Medford, Oregon. Worked better as monochrome. Taken with Canon Rebel xsi 120 mm; f 4.5; 1/85 sec; iso 800. Worked with photoshop to exclude some of the background.

Love this portrait. You captured his face which definitely looks like the face of a frontiersman. I like that the details of his costume are all sharp. And, this really works great in black and white. Posted: 07/12/2024 18:12:26
Interesting study with lots of detail in the outfit he's wearing. I wish the reading material in his hand wasn't there...did frontiersmen read? Nice work on the background. Did you use some of the newer PS tools for this? Posted: 07/15/2024 12:21:46
Lots of definition and contrast with the frontiersman though I think the photo is a little to perfect to fit the part. Your editing and B&W worked well for a pleasing image. I think I saw him at Madam Tussauds wax museum.
