Hindu Temple Visit by Than Sint, MPSA2, SPSA, AFIAP

December 2021 - Hindu Temple Visit

About the Image(s)

I visited one of the famous Hindu temples in Singapore with my Indian friend. I was able to take photographs with the permission of the temple authority. There were many constraints to get clear pictures. Anyway, I could get the record shot to understand the practice of Hindu religious ceremony.

What an unusual photo. Perhaps a bit dark. Good color. You get into the most interesting places. The bright line on the left is a bit distracting.   Posted: 12/10/2021 12:29:41

The ritual along with the focus, mood of the players real gives this photo some life.

A unique, solemn live capture.   Posted: 12/12/2021 21:15:53

Wow! Beautiful capture of the ceremony. Nice that the temple allowed you to photograph it. I like the tones of it. The only suggestion would be to remove or tone down the shine in the upper right hand corner. A very interesting photo.   Posted: 12/15/2021 17:24:40

Very interesting shot! I love the clouds of incense. It's a bit dark and that bright line is distracting. Otherwise a fascinating shot! I love the places you go to.   Posted: 12/16/2021 07:48:19

If the smoke from the pot was whiter I think the image would have more impact. Still, even now. it is a compelling shot and tells the story well.   Posted: 12/18/2021 16:44:32

I like this just the way it is. I agree that the line of light is a distraction but I don't see that you could have taken this from a different position and cloning it out would make this ineligible as a true photo journalism image.   Posted: 12/18/2021 18:19:46

Fabulous story. Shows something we're not fortunate enough to encounter in the western world. Technically correct. Love it.   Posted: 12/25/2021 18:39:43
