About the Image(s)

I put on my gardening gloves and felt an unusual swelling. Upon removal this fellow fell out. He was dazed and I put him on a rock for a photo. He scampered away when I turned my back.

What a surprise! I like the somewhat monotone of the rock and lizard. I wish the front surface of the rock was a little more in focus, but it does help emphasize the lizard. Maybe crop in just a little.   Posted: 04/02/2026 17:07:51

Great imaage. I just added a touch of vibrance to the lizard to make him stand out a bit. What do you think?   Posted: 04/07/2026 19:54:29

Funny story. Poor guy but at least he got away. As an image though I think the rock is overwhelming the critter. Both in color and blur. You did well to get any image though. These things are very quick.   Posted: 04/10/2026 11:44:29

I like the rock though there is a lot of it. I would keep everything the same and add less rock.   Posted: 04/12/2026 23:13:36

Poor little guy. At least he survived. Too much rock. It took my eye away from the little guy.   Posted: 04/14/2026 18:03:35

It's nice how critters like this just know that we need a subject. It looks good with that rock's colors. I do agree with the others about the rock. I probably would have cropped in closer and toned down the bottom. It looks like the slow shutter speed might have missed the completely open eye. You might add a little stroke to separate the image from the black background.   Posted: 04/15/2026 22:35:42
