Iceberg 1 by Sharon Moir

March 2025 - Iceberg 1

About the Image(s)

Taken in Sermilik Fjord, Greenland. No wind for a change so the water was smooth, I liked the shape of the berg, also the sky color reflected in the water.
Did some cropping and haze reduction. Taken with Panasonic DC-ZS70.

You couldn't have asked for a better reflection. The shape of the iceberg is a great subject. You do seem to have quite a bit of noise that might have been eliminated in editing.   Posted: 03/17/2025 07:25:27

Good composition!
I was wondering if too much haze reduction caused the slight marble in the sky and water.   Posted: 03/21/2025 22:36:45

I used a haze reduction filter and may have overdone it. The volcano was exploding in Iceland and the west coast of Greenland just didn't look as clear as it should have been.   Posted: 03/27/2025 12:47:01

You managed the noise and haze cleverly. Iceberg and its reflection lead the image very nicely.   Posted: 03/25/2025 08:30:23

It's just right the way it is. Are those just ripples in the water created by a gentle breeze?   Posted: 03/29/2025 13:53:31

Beautiful. Must have been pretty exciting to be there. I think it is good as is. I might have cropped a little of the water from the bottom so that it isn't so centered.   Posted: 03/30/2025 23:29:32
