About the Image(s)
Sometimes you only have to go out your back door to catch some beauty. Sony III, Tamron 28-70 2.8 lens, ISO 400, 1/250, f3.2. Processing in Lightroom with use of some brushes to tone down spots in the background.

You have a great subject in it's prime. You might have tried closing down your lens a little to get more sharpness throughout the bloom. I don't do any editing in Lightroom so I don't know your options in masking, but it looks like you had a hard brush when you were selecting the area to tone down. I usually add a little softness to the brush when I do this to make the edge less obvious.   Posted: 03/17/2025 07:18:53
I love iris and this is a beautiful one. I agree with Dennis about switching to a softer brush. Nice job.   Posted: 03/19/2025 14:04:03
The Iris and patterns really pop. Nice shot!   Posted: 03/21/2025 22:26:59
I could feel the beauty of the flower. Although it is Wild Iris, your capture made it very gentle, soft and creamy.   Posted: 03/25/2025 07:49:21
The very out of focus background with soft colors that mimic those found on the iris make the entire frame work well. The other comments about the selection process in making the separation of the iris from the background are correct.   Posted: 03/29/2025 13:48:00
