About the Image(s)

We had a couple strings of these on our tree back in the day. It was sitting in a window with a sheet of green paper slipped in for a background. Exposure set at -1.3 stop to make it look like it was taken at night. Processed with Luminar AI.

Olympus TG-6, f/4.9, 1/50 sec, ISO 800, 100mm 35mm equivalent.

I love this and must tell you that the ingenuity of the green paper is really an added plus. I definitely learned something with that.   Posted: 01/11/2025 15:59:03

Thanks. I have gotten a few books with scrapbooking pages for a variety of backgrounds. Smaller items, they even work as seamless backgrounds.

These were just books with a collection of about 20 different scrap booking sheets that you remove. You can find them or individual pages at any crafting store. I got mine at Hobby Lobby. You can also get individual pages for less than a dollar. I saw one that was Aged Leather. That sounds interesting but most of what I have are just plain color. Some do have different designs on the back side. Have fun.

This image is a bit confusing for me. The colors are vivid but without much texture, especially the red. The use of the paper for background was a good choice. The foreground is a bit underexposed.   Posted: 01/12/2025 21:11:27

Ah, memories. Cool image. Good Christmas card. I like the gradation from green to red in the background. The reds at the base are a bit blown out, but the image still projects a mood and feeling.   Posted: 01/13/2025 19:08:53

I like the red, green aura surrounding and leading up to the Bubble Light then leading out to the holly. It's the light!   Posted: 01/14/2025 01:40:45

While it's no super sharp, this would make a phenomenal xmas card. The red is brilliant and the dark background with green goes well with the shrubbery. Nice idea!   Posted: 01/15/2025 18:08:54

Don't laugh but when I first saw the thumbnail it looked like a rocket ship taking off. But reality set in and now I just like the green and red combo. Nice Holiday feeling to the image.   Posted: 01/18/2025 23:58:48
