About the Image(s)

This wild egret was wading at the Bronx Zoo. I like how the tail feathers hung down and the reflection. I would have liked a better reflection but it was a windy day. Cropping and sharpening were done.

Reflection of the tail feathers is sharply seen. Reflected highlights and shadow of the water waves can also be seen on the white feather plumes of the chest. How nice!   Posted: 11/07/2024 05:36:02

Graceful pose of the egret. I felt like playing with it so here's another version. Since the head was cut off in the reflection anyway I cropped further. Adjusted contrast, darkened water, tried to bring out some detail in feathers. I'm not sure it's better but simply a different version.   Posted: 11/09/2024 12:44:47

You got some more detail in the feathers which I like. Thank you for sharing this.   Posted: 11/09/2024 14:49:21

Nice exposure. I like the comments that Sol presented and his image. The wind made the water more interesting.   Posted: 11/15/2024 22:44:02

Nice effect with the water. Works well for a change verse the usual glassy smooth. I wish the photo was a little longer so the head showed up.   Posted: 11/20/2024 00:03:19

Another great shot. The tail plumage makes it more than just another egret standing in the water. Adds grace.   Posted: 11/20/2024 00:15:51

I like what Sol did. It seems to increase the contrast and make the egret really pop.I was thinking that I would like to see the head in the reflection too.   Posted: 11/21/2024 16:16:07
