About the Image(s)
There's a bit of a backstory to this. These little lizards(?) are numerous in my garden the are about 3-5 inches long and super fast and skittish. I've never been able to catch a shot of them. Until now. I was sitting in the garden playing with some settings on the camera and I noticed this guy posing for me. It stayed quite still for an extended period. I thought of making it B&W but the small color on it made me keep it a color shot. Check the original (also shown). Shot with a 300mm tele on a 45 mp camera so you see it was cropped quite a bit. ISO 1,000 and shutter speed 2,000.

Subtle but it works for me. Thanks, Bev.   Posted: 10/06/2024 20:00:11

Amazing sharpness considering the distance that you were from the subject. Color comes on very well. It would work well as a monochrome.   Posted: 10/06/2024 21:50:01

Cropping worked well with your high resolution camera. Got rid of the busy background and closed in on the subject.   Posted: 10/08/2024 22:18:11

Nice shot. Good use of the depth of field. While black and white would work, the color is essential to identifying the species. Also like the look it is giving you.   Posted: 10/14/2024 03:33:53

That spot of color really draws the eye. I like the cropping you did on this. You don't mention this but it appears that you might have selected the image and added it to a layer while you did some blurring of the background. It might be what give the halo around your subject. I have recently been trying to enlarge the sharp portion a little to cover the halo. I would crop off the partial border treatment.   Posted: 10/14/2024 12:15:12

Very excellent cropping to get nice composition and not complicated background. 45 megapixel saved your cropping to retain many details.   Posted: 10/14/2024 14:30:34

B&W would not have worked as well. That spot of color draws your eye immediately. Good job with 45 mp. It's amazing how much you can crop and still come up with a good image.   Posted: 10/16/2024 15:18:16
