About the Image(s)

It's been raining a lot lately, so I've been shooting inside. I found my old Rubik's cube and thought it might be a good subject with all the colors on the cube. The window light was too dark, so I set up the off camera flash for lighting. Thoughts?

Barbara, I love the outcome: it seem so crisp and dramatic. Most impressive to me is the way you compensated for the shadows in post and brought the brightness on the dark side of the cube up so that some of these squares were even brighter than the front surface. The new shadows beneath it are a nice touch.
It seems very futuristic, even robotic - I really like it when it rains.   Posted: 09/03/2023 20:51:18

Barbara, Love this image. This was an excellent idea. I used camera raw in photoshop. I used the white slider and pulled it all the way to the right and the black slider all the way to the left. I wanted to get the right corner on the Rubik Cube not to blend into the background. I wish we would get more rain in South Louisiana.   Posted: 09/06/2023 15:30:11

Barbara, this is very imaginative and quite subversive! Looks great being mono and this pesky puzzle unsolved and about to fall and self destruct. I like the diagonal white surface and slight shadows. Linda's tweaks also help.   Posted: 09/08/2023 11:09:43
