About the Image(s)
This shot was taken this year on a short break to explore the UK northern city of Newcastle. On one of my wanders about before breakfast I came across this abandoned e-scooter parked up near this street closure and thought it might make an interesting shot especially as it had been raining and left interesting puddles. Mono seemed to work best for this shot. Taken on Fuji XT3 1/125 f10 ISO 640

Hi Peter,
Nice minimalist composition. You captured a good story of the scooter facing the locked gate. The rain puddles add to the mood. Well exposed with sharp details. Nicely done. I like it.

This is a most interesting shot. I go straight to the scooter then to the no entry signs then back along the shop fronts to the scooter. I quite like the single bollard between the two entry signs. The wet ground is important. It could be argued that part of the scooter and helmet are a little overexposed but since they are the main element, I don't think it matters too much. The only suggestion I could offer is a slight vignette to pull things even further.   Posted: 10/12/2024 18:16:32
I like the sense of minimalism you are portraying in this image, especially with the scooter. I think the image would have more impact if you would crop the left one third of the image.   Posted: 10/26/2024 20:36:53

Very sharp image throughout with lots of detail. Nice range of tones. Certainly a good story here also. I like it!   Posted: 10/28/2024 19:13:14

Peter--The scooter seems to be "looking" at the locked gate in frustration. The angle of its handlebars echo the diagonal lines on the signs and the holes in the helmet echo the puddles. You show us a story even with minimal elements.   Posted: 10/30/2024 20:51:45
