Short Toed Treecreeper by Peter Hornbostel, MPSA

February 2025 - Short Toed Treecreeper

About the Image(s)

We gat a hint for a new place of a tawny owl in a near park in Hanover, Germany. When I was taking the owl was filling up the hole with his body, I had a perception in the angle of my eye. Looking beside, a short-toed treecreeper did his best. Standing about five meters away, I was only able to locate him because he was moving. Was a luck, that my 200-800m was prepared! I do not know, what was better: owl or treecreeper. In these situation only one answer: Both! And more of that kind!

Shot with my Canon R5 freehand. Aperture 9.0 (default with 800mm), shutterspeed 1/1600 by 6400 ISO.
