October 2024 - red-headed woodpecker

About the Image(s)

This red-headed woodpecker was taken in a friend's backyard. I think this is the parent of my September photo. I cropped it close to show the beauty of the bird.

Great photograph. I might have left a little more space on the left side. Also a bit on noise in the background, did you try to de-noise with something like Topaz?   Posted: 10/13/2024 16:09:29

Julia, just a gorgeous example of a Red-Headed Woodpecker. Do agree with Roy that it needs a little more room on the left but other than that just beautiful.   Posted: 10/14/2024 20:59:09

Excellent capture of a beautiful subject. In my VF I added canvas, darkened the branch or log the subject is sitting on and reduced the highlights   Posted: 10/17/2024 21:42:48

Your red-headed woodpecker looks still, focused and dressed for success! :) Lovely profile and nice sharp eye. Well done!   Posted: 10/21/2024 22:20:59

Thank you for showing this, for Europeans unknown, woodpecker.
If you use Adobe Lightroom, the new denoise AI function is very good.
The bird needs more space before the beak
