About the Image(s)

I have attached 2 images of a yellow daisy in my garden. My goal was to show the inside of the flower and the intricacies of those structures and how they make a beautiful pattern.
The first image is of more of the flower. My final image is cropped down for emphasis.

Settings:
Canon EOS 5D Mark III
Tokina 100mm 2.8 Macro lens
on Tripod
1/160 sec f/4.0 100 mm ISO400

Challenges- shooting in the garden and being able to set up tripod and maintain focus.

Your crop choice and choice of DOF came together well for me in this image. f4 could have even been f8 for just a bit more clarity toward the very back, but it doesn't seem necessary to my point of view. I like the way the very center is framed by the petals...it almost feels like it is being held in the palms of two hands. Great image and so good to have you in our group!   Posted: 10/10/2021 17:10:34
