White Tailed Deer by Sarita Yeola

November 2021 - White Tailed Deer

About the Image(s)

I took this image last week when we visited the Smoky Mountain National park. We had stopped at the Cades Cove visitor center when I saw this deer leaping through the field. Fortunately I was able to pan my camera to take a few shots as it crossed the field and disappeared in the woods. I used Topaz Denoise and Sharpen and cropped the original to arrive at the final image.

Nikon D500: 300mm, ISO 320, 1/640, f/6.3

Love this action shot! Looks like he is romping in the grasses and having a good time! We have deer in the Wetlands here and I love to shoot them (with a camera of course). They're such gentle creatures and make me calm and put a smile on the face. You have captured the action. The one thing I might suggest , but I am not sure about what's been cropped off, is give a little more room on the bottom so that you have "virtual feet. You could always add a little in PS and do a content aware add as well.   Posted: 11/12/2021 11:26:05

Yes, beautiful action of this doe. I agree with Sherry about adding a bit more on the bottom.   Posted: 11/24/2021 10:18:36
