About the Image(s)
I believe this is an adult GW Egret with two juveniles still hanging around the rookery near me. I edited this with the updated Lightroom, masking first the three birds as subject, and then inverting and masking the greenery. I am pleasantly surprised that LR masked all three birds in one pass. I am also please how masking the entire background at once allowed me to make it darker so the birds stand (or fly) out. This was my first go at editing with the new LR, after watching a few videos on the update.

Very interesting shot. The egrets stand out from the background. My eyes immediately go to the yellow beaks and wonder what they are feeding on. Looking at the photo makes me really curious about egret behavior. Great job! Posted: 11/11/2021 12:08:51

Great action shot and it portrays the action of the aggressive chicks when Mom or Dad come back with food. I've seen this action many times and tried to photograph, and getting all sharp and against a good background is difficult. Nice image of life as a Great White Egret! Posted: 11/12/2021 11:32:05
