Great Smokey Mountain Subset by Sarita Yeola

March 2025 - Great Smokey Mountain Subset

About the Image(s)

Sunset at Kuwohi: This image was taken in November of 2024 in The Great Smoky Mountain National park from the Kuwohi point previously called Clingman's dome. For this final version, I set the white and black point in LR, adjusted the Exposure, shadows and highlights a little to bring the colors in the sky and cropped out the top a little.

Nikon Z8/NIKKOR Z 24-70mm f/4 S @ 44mm, 1/5s, f/7.1, ISO 100, Manfrotto 290 light tripod

Simply lovely, Sarita. A nice balance between the foreground trees and the rolling hills in the background. Your exposure is spot on. Fabulous composition drawing the viewer into the center of the image with that glorious sunset. Thanks for posting a landscape image!   Posted: 03/08/2025 15:15:57

And that's how they got their name obviously. Lovely sunset over the smokey mtns. The foreground firs (?) help draw one in...very nice and sharp throughout.   Posted: 03/09/2025 20:26:46

This is so beautiful. I have been to this spot. I love how the photo draws my eye into the distant mountains. November is a wonderful time of year to be there and this makes me want to return.   Posted: 03/10/2025 16:07:31

Outstanding! One I would consider printing in larger format and hanging on my wall. Well exposed, sharp and just a lovely composition! Congrats!!   Posted: 03/11/2025 10:56:20

Definitely a work of art. Great balance of light and color from foreground to middle to back. I want to be sitting on a porch taking in that beauty. Well done.   Posted: 03/11/2025 18:59:51
