October 2021 - This is Why They Named the Town ASPEN

About the Image(s)

Not far from the Maroon Bells, and tucked in between Snowmass and Aspen, is the ghost town of Ashcroft, Colorado. Not much there any more, except the Pine Creek Cookhouse and these beautiful fall colors. Leica VLux 1, ISO 400, 30 mm f/8, 1/500 s

Nice use of color Paul. What draws my eye is the aspen at the bottom center of the image that is almost completely surrounded by the dark shadows and the deep green of the spruce trees. The contrast projects the tree forward and allows it to act as a leading line pointing at the larger mass of aspens above it.   Posted: 10/08/2021 11:30:51
