About the Image(s)

The attached image and the original, were taken back in 2016 when I was in Delhi India. It shows one of the many market areas in these domed spaces. To take this image I held my camera up above my head and tried to get the depth of the masses in this space. The image was taken with my Nikon Coolpix AW130, at 1/80 sec, F4.4, ISO 125, and 11mm.

Interesting shot in this situation I would have pushed up the ISO to get enable a greater depth of field and faster shutter speed to give you a sharper image. The processing has brought up the colours really well.   Posted: 06/10/2022 05:31:22

This brings to mind some of Raghu Rai's train station shots. I like the dome and the collection of people. The man in the middle towards the back seems to be too dark - can you lighten him up a little? My eye is drawn to him but I want to see more. Great shot!   Posted: 06/10/2022 08:11:22

Agree - The man in the centre towards the back needs to be brightened   Posted: 06/17/2022 06:17:36

Hello Ian, I really like this image, I think the subject matter is wonderful. I love this kind of setting. I like the composition and I think that you have handled the post processing quite well. I never noticed the guy in the middle until he was pointed out but now I think that a little more light on his face would be nice. Personally I would like to see either all or none of the woman's face in the lower left of the image.

Agree - The man in the centre towards the back needs to be brightened, and I should have removed all of the lady's face inn the left bottom corner.   Posted: 06/17/2022 06:20:00

Yes, I agree that removing all of her face would be preferable. If left in her face would be way too prominent.   Posted: 06/17/2022 07:03:58

Love these street shots of crowds of people. Here, the white dome area overwhelms the crowd. It threw your automatic exposure off. Not much data to work with in brightening the guy in the center. This is the best I coiuld do.   Posted: 06/16/2022 18:11:41

Thanks for trying to lighten the man, and the white wall does grab and hold your eye, I should have darkened it alittle.   Posted: 06/17/2022 06:22:36

Ian, I doubt seriously if you can do anything about the overexposed white center area. There is no data in the file.   Posted: 06/17/2022 08:37:46
