About the Image(s)

I took this in New Orleans in April 2019 during the French Quarter Jazz Festival. In addition to having numerous stages set up there are also musicians and other performers on almost every street corner during all hours of the day.

Shot with a Canon 6D, Tamron 28-300 lens at 48mm. 1/80 second at f7.1, ISO 25600. I really pushed the ISO as this was taken at about 11 pm and the area was not well lit. The original had a quite a bit of noise, I removed much of it using Topaz Denoise. I have found that Denoise works quite well.

Thought I would take it into Luminar AI and make a Black and White. Cropped some to make the two mucicians more prominent. Too bad the guy on the left is hiding his face.   Posted: 12/17/2021 11:12:28

Thanks for the comments. I like the B&W version. Actually I have a B&W print of just the sax player. I like the way you cropped it too.   Posted: 12/26/2021 08:51:59

This is a very cool photo I like the colors that you chose they definitely tell the story of where it takes place. The black and white is nice also but I think considering where it was located giving it that rustic look tells a little bit more. Nice capture.

I like the subject matter of a duo in this photo. I see a value in story telling that does come out. I also like how the shadows come out.   Posted: 12/20/2021 13:37:30
