About the Image(s)

I use a Canon T5I with a Super Color IR (590nm) filter from LivePixel. My IR images are uploaded using the Canon
EOS Utility and viewed in Canon's Digital Photo Professional 4 where the White Balance is checked.

Bird of Paradise bloom. Converted to a .TIFF file using Digital Photo Professional 4 and then loaded into Photoshop where the only change besides
cropping was using Adjustment/curves

Lovely composition, Gary. The simplicity of the flower and background and the positioning of the flower work wonderfully here. My only concern is that the petals of the flower seem a bit overexposed to my eye.   Posted: 11/16/2021 13:31:14

won't argue that! Besides hand held with a littel breeze, I shoot exposure bracketed and for this submission I used the over exposed of the three.   Posted: 11/16/2021 13:59:25

Very nice image, Gary. I like the 'glow' around flower. The reason that our bird of paradise look so different is that they are totally distinct species. Yours is in the genus Strelitzia, mine is in the genus Caesalpinia.   Posted: 11/23/2021 16:29:57
