About the Image(s)

This was taken in the fall mid-day with with Sony a7r converted by Lifepixel to Super Color Infrared 590 nm with 35mm lens at 1/60 second f/22 ISO 100.

Edited in PS with CLiR where white balance was set, curves adjustment applied, color channels adjusted, and levels adjusted.

I just felt like creating something different and away from the usual B&W or color conversion...

Fun image, Judy. The beauty of infrared is the freedom to process an image any way you like. I especially like the panoramic crop you've done here.   Posted: 07/07/2021 12:59:45

Hmmmmm or should I say ho ho ho. Not a fan of the red and green. I would bring up the crop on the bottom to remove the edge of the road. While the panoramma is interesting it is only so on the right side for me. I would cut just left of center to the right of the background white structure on the horizon. Also to the right of the main farm buildings is a black rectangle of a building that I would clone out.   Posted: 07/08/2021 11:59:46

Thanks Gary for your compositional tips; I think they're quite helpful.   Posted: 07/09/2021 11:39:32

Hate to be a naysayer but I hate to say that the red and green, although fairly bright, offers no wow result. I think Judy's improvement is better but it has a way to go.   Posted: 07/28/2021 10:54:56

Thanks Bev for commenting. I think this shows how important and powerful a color palette can be to an image; in this case it really pulls down the farmscene.   Posted: 07/28/2021 16:27:49
