This is a young cherry blossom which is why it is white. The photo was taken in Washington DC around the tidal basin during the Cherry Blossom Festival. I spent hours walking around the Tidal Basin taking photos and marveling at their beauty.

Beautiful image, love the shallow depth of field and sharpness of the main subject. I wander id you cropped the top, brighter part, and darkened the edges a bit, if the subject would stand out more?

I agree with Julie and Jenny, this wonderful image would benefit with stronger subject isolation either through a vignette or further de-focusing the background. Posted: 06/07/2021 08:42:12
