About the Image(s)

It's been a busy week, so we need to have a picnic and enjoy the peaceful nature. The landscape of Big Meadow is so cool and calm, where I often shoot milkway at night because the air is very fresh and pollution-free. I took this shot with the micro four third camera Olympus EM1. Focal length 12mm (equiv. 24mm full frame) , 1/500s, f7.1. I edited by PS, replace sky, adjust color balance and constrast and used Nik to make it clearer. Thanks

Hi Quang,
As you say. A very peaceful scene in a beautiful location. I could enjoy the people except for the man's arm sticking up, which I found very distracting. I also felt it could use some color enhancement. I took out the people on the bench, which does cause me to feel something is missing.   Posted: 05/05/2022 13:33:04

What a wonderful spot for night photography! My first question is: what is the story? Is it about the trees, then you have put them in a great position at the left third. If so, then the people on the table are good to balance the image but should be on the opposing third grid line. Next question: What is the sky offering? With barren trees, often it isd best to have them against a solid color so maybe a blue sky with clouds at right and not behind the trees. I really like what you did to the mid ground brown area and the contrast it brings to the image.   Posted: 05/13/2022 19:04:16

I like the site, I've been there, even recognize the tree. I do like John's suggestion to remove people and tables; however, if your purpose was to tell a human story, then do not change anything.   Posted: 05/18/2022 11:39:26

Quang, you present an interesting scene with the green grass of springtime and the dead trees of winter. I do find that I'm kind of lost in finding the intent but if it's the juxtaposition of spring and winter it works. As for the people on the bench I agree with John that it may have worked better if the two people were passively viewing the park. Anyway, you always present something fascinating.   Posted: 05/22/2022 12:19:56
