Fellow Group Members,
I must tell you all at this time that having edited and spent a bit of time on this photo and posting it to the PSA that I am not happy with the editing I did on the mountains.
I think that the mountains may be too sharp if that is possible. I welcome any recommendations you have in this respect or any other for that matter. What can I do to make the mountains look better.   Posted: 10/01/2021 12:13:11

John, Kings Canyon is a spectacular place for photos and you captured a good one. That road leads the viewer right into the scene. For some reason the entire image is coming across as muddled on my screen, as if it's behind frosted glass. As far as the sharpness of the mountains, the cause seems to be the sky replacement. The lighting seems wrong for where the sun is hitting the peaks. My two cents, I do like the image.   Posted: 10/06/2021 14:03:58

Rich,
Thank you very much for your observation and comments. I have viewed the edited image on three different computers and don't experience any clouding as you have described. I'm going to wait and see what the other members of the group experience in that regard. As to the details in the mountains I have come to think it may be due to editing the small details in the Luminar AI program. I'm also going to redo the sky to see how that effects the photo.   Posted: 10/07/2021 14:13:24

Rich,
I edited the original again and redid the sky and some other adjustments. Just wonder if this comes out any better on your screen.   Posted: 10/07/2021 15:32:47

John, I like your last edit. This is a good detail-rich image, considering you only had 12 megapixels to work with. My two cents concerns the slightly over saturated foliage. I like the lines. It is a location I'd like to visit.   Posted: 10/09/2021 20:33:40

Hi John, thanks for showing the image. I have same comments with Charles. I looked your updated image. The image is clearer, the green color of the tree should be de-saturated a little bit. I like your composition very much, either original picture or post crop is good. The DOF of this image is very impact to viewers' eyes. The balance of spaces in your image is very well designed.
