Shot from a bridge overlooking a golf course adjacent to a nature trail.Used a Google Pixel 6 cell.Wasn't sure about composition. Is there enough sky? I thought the foreground water was interesting but there were a lot of distracting ducks and debris in water.?Changed my angle to get more clean water with a golden reflection and some foliage on the rt.Is there too much water?I had to include it to complete the partial curvature of the river bank.I wanted to create a wider view but there were distracting golf carts on either side of image.Did not use healing tool because I wanted to try and represent the actual scene. Thanks for feedback

Hi Wayne yes I think it works ok with the reflection of the mountains in the water being the main point of interest, for me. I agree with the limitations you describe, and look at this rather as a good example of how the phone camera allows us to capture the interesting moments we come upon in everyday life.   Posted: 11/07/2023 05:23:53

I like this - esp the brown color of the mountain and the reflection in the water. If I was going to edit this - I think that a bit more sky would be helpful (it's feeling little crowded at the top of the frame). I might also try to darken the bright part of the mountain - and at the same time brighten the dark brown area (perhaps in shadow) and distant water to bring out more detail. Right now the brightest areas are the sky and foreground; our eyes get pulled in that direction and away from the best parts of the frame. A peaceful scene.   Posted: 11/08/2023 14:32:05

Wayne, the reflections are outstanding. Perhaps the orange color is a bit bright and should (?) be toned down and possibly the brown darkened some.   Posted: 11/17/2023 09:43:29

Hi Wayne,
The composition works well with a portion of the sky on the top and its major part on the water reflection. The wavy waters add more interest to the scene. The angle you captured the scene is well thought to include the curve of the river bank and the fall colored trees against the brown hills, and at the same time to avoid some distractions you encountered (ducks, golf carts).
It's a beautiful scene and well composed image. I don't have any suggestion for improvement. Thanks for sharing!

I like this curve and the entire peaceful scene. You did well removing distracting elements that would have taken away from that. I agree with Steven that a little more sky would have added some "breathing space", but it might have altered the shape of the image. The colors on the big hill/little mountain reflect well. Since some trees seem to be changing color, it might be nice to work on the leaves a little to bring up the colors a bit, as they seem lost in the browns behind them.   Posted: 11/30/2023 12:00:27
