About the Image(s)

After days of looking for the right field of canola fields in the Palouse of western Washington, I liked this one because of the way the sky became the image, and the landscape just an accompaniment.

Based on the feedback from my earlier image, I’m wondering if the sky looks right here, or unnatural. I’m starting to think I like polarized skies, where the real color is more of the easter-egg sky, pale blue. What do you think?

Only edit was removing the power lines.

I tend to not look at the whiteness of the clouds because they are not too bright.

I REALLY LOVE your composition. you went to take the Canola Fields but the sky became the hero and the canola fields have been reduced to a quarter of the image. You have a good eye!
Any more of the fields and they would have been over powering. A great composition!   Posted: 05/05/2021 17:46:14

I really love the sky in this. I think you really captured its' untamed nature in these clouds.   Posted: 05/10/2021 08:19:16

Beautiful, Jack! It's all about the sky for sure, and I think it's perfect. It almost looks like waves and has a slight 3D quality. The colors are wonderful, and you cannot tell where the lines were that you removed. Nicely done!   Posted: 05/10/2021 16:39:09

Phill said it all; there is nothing to change in this lovely image.. I miss living out in the country where I could get interesting pictures of fields and skies.   Posted: 05/11/2021 09:29:21
