Truss Bridge in Iceland
My first photo for the group is one I took two months ago in Iceland. The trip to Iceland was my main impetus to purchase a drone (DJI Air2s) and I am very happy I did- photography with a drone is so much fun!
The weather in Iceland was far from ideal, showers and fog every day, moderate to heavy wind so most of the time the drone stayed in its case. This photo was taken during one of the few periods of decent weather.
1/2500 sec, f/2.8, ISO500

Welcome to the group, Richard. You really got off to a great start with this image.
I like the diagonal lines the road makes leading into the image beyond just the main subject, the bridge itself.
A great shot!   Posted: 11/13/2023 01:26:06

Richard,
Great Welcome to a fun group. I like the colors and composition. The area to the right of the bridge below looks very interesting? Any shots looking down of that area? There seems some very Blue water. Did you fly under or looking up that might be a interesting angle. Some of use add the Original for comparison and processing details. Nice work,

Hi Richard. Welcome to the group. Lovely image! I love the sky here... well done! In what part of Iceland is this bridge?
Looks like there is going to be more volcano images coming out of Iceland pretty soon! Maybe even in the snow!!   Posted: 11/17/2023 00:59:35

Thank you Drema, I'm looking forward to learning a lot about drone photography.
This image was shot while we travelled the ring road, so not far from the coast. It was on the southwest side of the island. It would be exciting to get some volcanic action shots.   Posted: 11/17/2023 01:50:14

Hi Richard, welcome to the group!
Very nicely composed and exposed, with a great sky and cliffs in the background. Unless you want the image as a travel or other photo-realistic shot I would have cloned out the buildings, especially the ones on the right center edge.
By way of introduction, I've flown a drone on two different trips in Iceland and the much lesser amount of restrictions make it an enjoyable experience (but not ht ewinds and weather!)   Posted: 11/23/2023 16:58:03

Beautiful day in Iceland, love the colors. The mountains in the background lend a nice feel to this little valley. Might be a nice image looking straight down at that bridge, or flying thru it.   Posted: 11/28/2023 16:10:57
