About the Image(s)
I took this image when I visited Watson Lake in Prescott Valley AZ. a couple of months ago. I only did some basic editing to the original. I especially liked a diagonal line formed by the shoreline leads my eye. You can tell just how much the level of the lake has gone down in the photograph.

Looks like quite a barren place - only one tree visible. Good composition with a nice balance of rock and water and leading lines. I wonder how it would be to add some feature to the sky like a cloud with a corresponding reflection in the water.   Posted: 11/13/2023 08:23:44
Richard, I considered replacing the sky with one with some clouds, something I often do. But I was concerned about my ability to create the cloud reflections in the water.

Don,
Great shot of a interesting place. My eye sees interest in the rocks below the water. Any shots looking down? I am not a fan of sky replacment in this shot I would crop the sky just above the moutain top and bottom just above the rocks sticking out on the bottom right you have some nice reflections of the rocks on the left but they are to far away to see clearly. I would like to see more of that. That might create more of a landscape feel but this is a very nice photo.

Alex, I believe I did take a 360 panorama, so I will have to look through those shots. One may be indeed pointing down.   Posted: 11/13/2023 18:50:08
Hi Don. I like the color in your final image. I agree cropping a little of the sky off the top might be good. I also think lightening the water was good, but I kind of like the black water at the very bottom of the image. I think if you could carry that a little higher so you don't have as much of the brown water it would look a little better. If you transition it into the green translucent-looking water instead of the brown it won't look like the water is muddy.   Posted: 11/16/2023 19:22:32
You know, Drema, I never even noticed the muddiness of the water until I saw the post here. I am going to have to look at again on my computer.   Posted: 11/17/2023 10:18:37
Hi Don, as others have commented, definitely less sky. And I might have tried to establish a stronger main subject by brightening some aea in the middle and burning down the corners.   Posted: 11/23/2023 11:02:56
Looks like a great place to drone, very barren. I agree with the others, less sky, more rocks. Maybe even turning left to avoid the mountain, it would look a bit alien.   Posted: 11/28/2023 10:13:01
