February 2022 - Rocky Mountains - Autumn Lake Mountain

About the Image(s)

Late September, it is the most beautiful season in Canada, not only is there the autumn colors there, but its fascinating scenery is deeply rich in beauty. At the end of September 2021, I decided to take advantage of the most appropriate form of nature, RV, camping, picnic, dozens of days full of autumns warm yellow leaves in the mountains, the green lakes, the magnificent ice, the wild animals and the peerless beauty Canada!

Wow! I was in Great Bear Rainforest in British Columbia this October. Now that I watched your video, I want to go back and see the Rockies.

You video had me spellbound, from the establishing car shot that made it clear you are taking the viewer on a road trip to your heartfelt text at the end. There are so many things that I enjoyed about this video, that I can list only a few:

1. Choice of music-simple yet majestic
2. Images with reflections in the water
3. Judicious use of time lapse photography
4. The rainbow
5. The sense of journey by seeing you and your companion with a teapot over the fire pit.
6. The difference in perspective you offered at 1:53 when looking down into the rushing water.
7. The long shot of the mountains and highway at 2:05. That shot really shows the majestic nature of the Rockies. The highway looks insignificant.
8. The Canadian railway shots. One cannot look at the Canadian Rockies and not also see the magnificent railway that runs through them. (I took it many years ago)

Harry,
1. Very nice time-lapse (1:24-1:27, 1:39-1:42, 2:37-2:42, 2:42-2:51)
2. Very steady drone footage (2:17-2:22, 2:33-2:36)
3. Music matches the video content very well
4. Great still images
Suggestion: No motion blur on the blades of wind turbines (2:37-2:42). If you pause the video, the blades look too sharp on the image. I guess it was shot with time lapse auto settings. I would switch auto to manual, and reset the exposure by following 180º shutter rule. They will spin with enough motion blurring as real.   Posted: 01/30/2022 16:40:06

Harry,

WOW !! What an absolutely beautiful video.

Oh I guess if you wanted to you could find a few technical things that could have been changed, but for me this was prefect, I wouldn't change a thing.

I have watched your video many times and I am amazed at everything about it.

The drone shots of the trains had to be timed perfactly. So very, very nice.

I just can't say enough about how well you did this. All of it, the Still shots, the video clips and the editing.

Excellent !!

Dick
