About the Image(s)

At the end of the year I was lucky enough to be able to portray the Tennesse Walker specimens from a local breeder, an interesting experience with non-human models.

Pretty Animal! A lovely Portrait and I am sure the owner was pleased with this piece.

However, I may suggest the trees are interrupting the composition by "competing" with the horse: here, the complex nature of light, shadow and texture are too closely mingled, thus producing undesirable "confusion". The white portion of sky is also competing for prominence, and this too is conflicting.

It is always important to pre-visualize background-information and its place within the entire (planned) composition. Here I am afraid, we need a better location or user position to pull off the shot more successfully.   Posted: 01/17/2022 06:54:23

Jose how nice the horse posed for you. Beautiful pose but I agree with Lance he's fighting with the background for center stage. I don't know if you had a chance to ride him but if you ever get an opportunity take it they are amazing, sooo smooth.   Posted: 01/29/2022 00:47:28
