About the Image(s)
I took this photo at sunrise in Santorini harbour. I wanted a sunrise shot but was maybe a mile away so this photo is cropped a lot. Then I applied a painterly filter to it. f20, 1/8 sec, ISO 100

Very nice image David, Please share the thought of why you used f/20 , with shutter speed of 1/8s at ISO 100. As such long shots shot for landscapes , even f/8 with higher shutter speed would have been better to get a sharper image.

This seems to be an appropriate image to use a painterly filter on. Very interesting idea that turned out pretty cool!   Posted: 05/05/2023 19:51:11

Love how the painterly filter pulls it all together and less busy.   Posted: 05/09/2023 08:10:20
The Med and Greece (right?) are magnificent and so reminiscent of their glorious history. My first reaction was that I wanted the sunrise light to touch more of the image on the right. Especially between the white wall and the very blue house below. Can you brighten this area with a dodge tool? I was troubled- but just a little - by the bald sky, but it is what you had to work with.   Posted: 05/09/2023 14:57:20
