About the Image(s)
This was taken on the lake one foggy morning. I haven't been sure if it's cropped appropriately - the original was wider on the left. It's rare to see a Blue Heron here and I love how they stand so still!

I like the cropping. If the heron had been looking down then I'd suggest that you could crop the left side, but with the heron gazing leftward, I think how you've done it is fine (my opinion only). This image has a bit of a dreamy feel to it with the fog and I like it. It is a nice image to look at.
Where my wife and I winter in Alabama, Blue Herons will stand by the fishermen on the Gulf beach waiting very patiently for them to catch something and throw it to them to eat.   Posted: 08/04/2022 20:21:52

While I cannot comment on Alabama (the Carolinas are similar for Heron watching), I love the soft, dreamy image. And, I agree, the cropping is very good. Keep up this great work!   Posted: 08/05/2022 10:41:41

I like the angle in which you took this photo being almost level with the Blue Heron. I agree with above comments and think the cropping is well done too.   Posted: 08/08/2022 05:08:04
Beautiful image of this foggy morning with the Blue Heron. Your composition is perfect, and the reeds in the foreground provide some depth and context to the overall image.
I agree with everyone's comments regarding he crop. I would not change anything.
