Endless Summer by Laurie McShane

April 2021 - Endless Summer

About the Image(s)

This photo is titled "Endless Summer" and was taken on the coast of Alabama a couple of weeks ago. I loved being beneath the pier and took several shots as it grew closer to sunset. As luck would have it, a young family nearby was kind enough to let me take a photo of their daughter as she played in the sand.... just moving her over about ten feet from where she was.

This was taken with a Canon 5D Mark IV, 24mm, F11, 1/250.

Love the colors, the textures in the bridge legs and most of all the little girl playing by herself in the sand. Very well done.   Posted: 04/06/2021 12:45:41

Laurie, what a great shot. I love the composition, and saturation. The view of the little girl under the pier exudes a sense of depth.

The only other comment I have is that you might consider cropping it slightly to bring the girl in closer. But not so much as to cut off the sides of the pier.

Nicely done!   Posted: 04/13/2021 12:46:48
