About the Image(s)

I took this picture of a Day Lilly with my iPhone, as that is what I had with me. I liked the water droplets and the stone texture behind it.
ISO 32
1/353 s

I played with this in Luminar 4 using different adjustment sliders to add depth to the color and the stamens. I also added the white vignette to draw the eye into the center to the flower and also because there was not much interest in the outside areas. I wanted to keep some of the leaves around the flower.

A lovely image of the Day Lily with raindrops on it. I like the way the leaves seem to be framing the flower and agree with keeping them in. The vignette does draw your eye to the flower.
I do find the BG a bit too busy though and surprised how much detail you have with an aperture of f2.2!! Perhaps try and blur the BG a bit more but retain the leaves that are nearest to the flower?   Posted: 07/02/2021 10:35:49

Nice Lilly, and beautiful colour.
For my taste the vignette is too heavy, too prominent.
BG unsharpness (DOF) is a relation between sensor size (here very smal) diafragma and distance between the objects, with a FF camera it would be easier to gain more DOF.   Posted: 07/06/2021 01:39:55

Janet, lovely flower and I really like the water drops, handled well. Nicely framed. I am usually not a big fan of white vignette but it works here, maybe take it down a tad.   Posted: 07/08/2021 07:31:35

Refreshing yellow. Can feel the rain. What processing did you take up to get the outer regions in white?   Posted: 07/09/2021 21:56:22
