About the Image(s)

Struggled to find an image for this month so ended up this morning taking this Tulip indoors and using it.
Taken with Canon R6, 24-70mm lens. 1/10 sec, f7.1, ISO 100.
I manually focus stacked it taking circa twenty images.
Took into PS as layers, auto aligned, and auto blended. I used high pass filter to slightly sharpen it. I used the marquee tool to select a border which I lightened in levels. I then created a drop shadow to go all round the image to brings it more to the fore.

I really like the background and frame you chose, Angela. I was just reading about focus stacking. I would love to know why you did that, as opposed to a sharply focused image, with a higher F stop, taken from a tripod, since you brought the flower inside. I guess I'm missing something. I like pictures of flowers that have gone past their prime...they are still beautiful as they fade away.   Posted: 05/07/2021 17:21:27
