Shot with a Canon 5D Mark III, Sigma 105 macro lens, 0.6 sec at f/ 5.0 on a tripod. Used one of Kathleen Clemons’ purple backgrounds. Is there enough here to keep one’s interest? I think it’s OK with the imperfections cropped out. In PS, whitened the petal with selective color white, lowering the backs

Doug, I love this! That curve is just wonderful. So when you say you used someone else's background, is that background on the original? Because the original background looks quite good. There is really nothing I can suggest to make it better. It's great the way it is. Posted: 11/10/2023 16:37:56
Very nice Doug. A great job getting the image and eliminating the distracting parts using the select color tool to whiten the beautiful curves. And yes, the purple background works for me. Just an excellent job. Another one for your wall. Posted: 11/12/2023 15:49:26

The detail in the photo is really nice. The green line really is a drawing point for the whole image. I think that there is plenty to keep one focused. The limited color pallet works really well here and really engages the viewer. Posted: 11/15/2023 10:06:38

The image that you have shared is simply nice. The subject is very creative and handled very well. The background could be different too (I mean the color pallet could be close to the green or greenish in nature, a lighter shadow than the subject- just a personal thought).
