I agree Doug, you have a unique ability to find and photograph Leaves with personality. Your stacking methods do an excellent job. Color is rich. I do wonder if there is any background color that can be used in lieu of the black. Well done.   Posted: 03/09/2025 12:52:01

You do beautiful leaf studies. I agree with Bob regarding the background. Personally, I like to see an image (especially with a black background) have a stroke to set it off. I feel the stroke keeps my eyes inside the frame and not searching around to see if I've missed anything.   Posted: 03/10/2025 10:53:15

Doug, really enjoy this. You found a leaf with such great character! Stacking is perfect, especially since the way the leaf is shaped it needed a lot of DOF at macro level. (Is the 100 mm a macro lens?). I personally like the black background, but a stroke might work well. Great job.   Posted: 03/10/2025 14:42:03

Hi Doug, another one of your creative ways of showcasing a "dying" leaf in all of its glory. Well done.   Posted: 03/17/2025 05:10:12

Hi Doug,
Greetings my friend.
Another amazing leaf study. I simply loved the way you have created the image. Amazing DoF, I think the light and colors are complementing each other.
Thanks & regards.
