About the Image(s)

This was taken in Lisbon around midday. I was fascinated by the lines I saw in this building, greatly helped by the sun.

There was very little editing...done in Lightroom with minimal cropping, spot removal, increased orange saturation, and decreased texture.

This is fantastic, how you have captured the drenching sunlight. It reminds me of the sunlit scenes by the painter Edward Hopper, but your photo shows the sunlight even more intensely than in his paintings.
The shapes are great also.   Posted: 01/05/2022 23:59:04

Your had open eyes for this one, and I am sure you will be sensitive to great scenes in the future. What a pleasure it is to come before such a scene and capture it.   Posted: 01/06/2022 20:46:37

Very cool abstract based on a real scene, so you have created the abstract from the light and darks, it makes it look 3 dimensional. My eye keeps travelling and finding new angles. I also appreciate the intensity of the change in yellow and the high contrast.   Posted: 01/06/2022 23:38:14

Hi Freddie, Great graphic image! It appears both simple in the orange and white slabs and complex in the various roofline shadows and window at the same time. A beautiful collection of parallel and diagonal lines that allows the eye to roam among sharp details. A great color image at midday! Karl   Posted: 01/07/2022 11:09:13

I too like the strong graphic nature of this image. The angles, lines and colors pull me in and hold my attention - there's so much to explore in this image. Saturating the orange just enough brings the image to life and provides depth. So well done.   Posted: 01/09/2022 07:17:28

Wonderful striking image. The triangular shapes, lines, and simplicity of the color pallet catch and hold my eyes. So much to see in so minimalist an image: the asymmetry between the scalloped and straight black slanted shadows on white, the parallel black, straight slanted shadows (one on white, one on maize), the angles, the partial window. Difficult to pull myself away.   Posted: 01/10/2022 12:51:14
